Allardyce

Deserved to have a sharpened corner flag pole rammed through one ear and out the other for cupping his fucking ears to us.

Not so much to do with managerial ability, but Wonder cannot be forgiven for murdering Les Sealey. And the cunt got away with it!

Roeder for me too
Just about summed up the T Brown era
Got rid of Redknapp and employed the ball boy who Redknapp employed out of pity to put the cones out
Poor chap was never up to the job but was deluded enough to think he could do it which resulted in the fire sale of one of the best groups of home grown young talented players we ever had
Not entirely his fault but Brown's
Avram Grants appointment showed just how far we'd sunk. A close second to Roeder. Terrible appointment and some of the most dire years in our history
I actually didn't mind BFS as a short term fix. Despite the awful football, which was mildly more boring to watch than Curbishleys, he did what he promised which was to get us back up and stay there. Needs must!
T Brown took us back 20 years

Re: You’re least favourite West Ham Managers
Roeder - totally incompetent signed a shot stopper lousy goalkeeper to replace a very good keeper we already had. Inflicted Gary Breen on us.

Allardyce - the antichrist of entertaining football. He has been stealing a living from the desperate for years.

Grant - a total fuckwit

I would also say that allerdice was one of the worst due mainly to his football style and his arrogance, but he did the job the dildoes and their bitch wanted done.
but definitely a wrong 'un of sorts.

Re: You’re least favourite West Ham Managers
we have never really had a manager who coulnot not manage or coach his staff and players, none of them knew how to deal with the involvement of the owners,

Dear old Ron GREENWOOD HAD IT SUSSED,HE

[VE NEVWORKED WITHOUT A CONTRACT;,

IIVE NEVER LIKED allardyce

Re: You’re least favourite West Ham Managers
We’ve had those that should never have been our managers Roeder, Zola, Grant, Pelligrini.
Allardyce did a job that needed doing, the dull cunt, Bilic a short romance a bit like Pardew but they both lost the dressing rooms pleased that Moyes got a second chance wanted him in way back when and felt Curbishley was just getting it going when he left.
Least favourite Roeder, there seemed to be absolutely nothing about him.

the way and manner in which our club has been managed by its owners directly undermines the quality and ability of the staff employed at the club

Grant. Too be fair. Didn't have a dicky what was going on, never did the board. Fuckin awful.

Re: You’re least favourite West Ham Managers
Macari was on a hiding to nothing. He wasn’t wanted by a lot of fans because he was seen as an outsider and I think a lot of people wanted Bonzo or someone who had West Ham connections. I know that Greenwood hadn’t had those but his pre West Ham time was a distant memory by then.

I don’t like Redface because he did the dirty on Bonds and he was conducting a transfer policy based largely on how many houses he would get out of it rather than what was best for the club. That being said, the football was decent and you did feel like we could win any game in our day.

Roeder was inept. Totally inept and he would be well up there for me if he wasn’t such a pitiful character.

Grant was a piss taker but that one is on the club. He was what he was, and we paid him a fortune to sleep in his office and go down the massage parlour.

I liked Curbishley. He knew his onions and set us up well. Tactically very astute and I think he would have done good things but for a board undermining him and the world financial crisis. Also, he is the only manager in living memory from West Ham so that’s good enough for me,

Pardew. Slimy fucker but his teams gave me some great nights watching us.

Allardyce has to be the least favourite. Just a nasty piece of work who made going to football a chore. By the end of his reign I just couldn’t care less about whether I went to football or pushed a trolley round the supermarket.

Re: You’re least favourite West Ham Managers
The other thing I'll say about Redknapp is that there are many myths about him which have been simply made up, or exaggerated, by the group of vociferous fans who wanted him gone at a reasonably early stage.

He royally stitched up Bill, no question. And of course that speaks badly of him as a man. No question. But some of the claims I've seen about his management etc - much of it is complete bollocks punted by those who could (possibly rightly) never forgive what he did to Bill. Talent-wise, as a coach and manager, he was good. Not great, but good. And he brought us entertainment.

Re: You’re least favourite West Ham Managers
Avram Grant was, by a considerable margin, the worst football manager we have ever had.

I considered suing him under the Trades Descriptions Act.

Roeder was extremely poor, and out of his depth, but at least has his first season to point to.

I can't say that I've disliked any other West Ham managers in my lifetime.

Johnny Lyalll was a fucking legend: a truly great man and a superb football coach and manager. Probably the best manager we've ever had (which is saying something, because his mentor - Greenwood - was excellent. Those two tower over this club as the true legends of management - and rightly so. They built modern West Ham.

Macari was responsible for some very poor results in his short stint but, in his defence, his stint was cut short.

Bill was a thoroughly decent man and West Ham playing legend. He lacked nous in terms of the attacking side of coaching. But he was an OK coach and royally stitched up by the club and you know who.

Never understood the hostility towards Redknapp as a manager. As a man, stitching up his supposed best mate Bonds and then telling a very different story about it since - that's another matter. But as a coach and manager, Redknapp was good. I always felt we had the ability to give anybody a game at Upton Park under Harry - even in those seasons when we struggled financially and had the likes of Dowie upfront.

Pardew was a decent coach who got lost in his own attempt to build a legacy, but he gave us that magnificent FA Cup run.

Curbishley made us play sideways too often, but was a decent man exasperated by modern footballers by the time he got to us.

Zola was underwhelming, but I can't say I disliked him.

You know the rest: Bilic, Allardyce et al. All flattered to deceive. Sam brought his unique "I'm at war with my own club and fans" mentality to West Ham in the way he does. Slav was a disappointment, given his fine start and I really like him as a bloke. The way his team faded was quite shocking.

Manny was a financial disaster and well past his best when he arrived. Moyes has turned out to be surprisingly solid (despite most fans' scepticism, including mine) and is beginning to rebuild the club's foundations.

But we have had nobody like Greenwood or Lyall since, er, Greenwood or Lyall. Fucking masters of their trade. And if they'd had some extra financial backing, both would have doubled their trophy counts. When I look back at how we played under those two...

Re: You’re least favourite West Ham Managers
Im torn on Redknapp because there was so much enjoyable about what he did for the club, and the players he brought to the team.

But at the same time he shafted Billy, and was defo on the take.

But without him so many of the players that resonate with me for the club would never have been there:

Paolo
Foe
Bilic
Vargas
Raducioiu
Kanoute
Hartson
Sinclair
Berkovic
Dailly
Schemmel
Futre
Ruddock
Abou
Dowie
Porfirio
Pearce
Dani
Lama
Lomas
Wright
...and that's ignoring the Cole, Carrick, Lamoard, Rio, Defoe 5 that could have been so much more for us.

Some great, some terrible, some just plain cult, but all players that added to my enjoyment and foundations when supporting the Club. And for that I'll be thankful to Redknapp!

robbing redcunt a spiv, conman of the highest order.
avram grant, a complete waste of space.
roeder, a brilliant coach, sadly a useless manager.

several posters have named El Pelle, who in his time has been a very good manager with a winning history who probably came to ujs 5 years too late. sadly he came after his chinese pension fund gathering adventure. had he come before that i believe things would have gone so much better. he has won so much more in his long career than the so-called "moyesiah" can even dream of. all done with an attractive and entertaing style.
